The Blue Jays promoted Jansen to the major leagues on August 12, 2018, and subsequently made his debut in a 3–1 loss to the Kansas City Royals
The 2021 season saw Jansen playing 70 games. He spent time on the injured list in July and August with a right hamstring strain.
He returned to the lineup to play the last 21 games of the season with a .322 batting average and 7 home runs.
